Classes

Here's your chance to be a little creative with your character! There are three main classes in conscripted; when you apply for your character, you can pick one of these classes for your character. See it as creating a new character in an MMORPG where you can pinpoint a path for which your character will train as. Once the game expands, we will allow subclasses and such.

For now, you cannot change what you've picked as your character's class in the application; the option to change your class may occur in the future.

Elementalist -------------------------------------------
The class of mages. An Elementalist is a fighter who draws their power from sorcery and magics. Elementalists provide elemental control, time manipulation, the use of illusions, healing, or any other sort of "otherworldy" control. These warriors tend to be incredibly powerful and flashy on the battlefield, but they are also incredibly fragile. Some may carry physical weapons or shields, but their physical attack and defense is extremely poor. They must be wary of injury, though any magic-oriented attack will have the least effect on them. Verity holds Elementalists in especially high regard.

NOTE: Elementalists can not be trained; magical ability is "carried over" from the character's original world and amplified. A character who has no magical abilities in their canon will not be able to take up an Elementalist position.

Vagabond ---------------------------------------------
Vagabonds are basically the jack-of-all-trades class. These fighters are known for their harmony of both physical and magical attacks. Swords weilded by Vagabonds have been said to deliver an additional burn of fire. Arrows hit with a powerful, seemingly impossible reverberation of sound. The marriage of physical and magical can indeed be devastating, but those abilities come with a price. Vagabonds are in the "middle" as far as taking and dealing damage goes. Some new fighters (who were once cripplingly powerful in their own homes) may become frustrated upon discovering their abilities are not what they used to be. Recruited Vagabonds may not hit as hard as they were once used to, but these warriors are still a hardy force to be reckoned with and appear to take much damage of both the physical and magical persuasion with ease.

NOTE: Like an Elementalist, a character who has no magical ability in their canon would not be suited for Vagabond. If you character displays talents in both magical and physical areas of fighting and you're not sure which "side" you favor more, this class is for you.

Harrier -----------------------------------------------
If Harriers were to be pinned as anything, they would likely be known as tanks. This class excels at pure physical combat and withstanding damage. Surprisingly enough, Harriers come in all shapes and sizes, with weaponry just as diverse. Without a doubt, these warriors hit hard, and have reason to be feared. However, their magical ties are either weak or nonexistant, and as such, magic-based attacks have the greatest effect on them over any other class. Civilians with no previous fighting experience or magical ability can usually train as a Harrier if they wish to fight.

NOTE: Harriers are best suited for characters who have limited to no magical ability in their canon, OR if a player simply does not wish to focus on the magical aspects of their character's fighting.
