hide and seek? how can xiaoyu resist

She was easily hidden behind the men standing in front of her.

Xiaoyu pouted at her bad luck, having arrived a bit late as she came from her own canceled training session due to the second brigade Ace General's absence. She had decided to sneak on over to the first brigade's training, hoping that Snake's previous offer still stood- she had heard the news about his zombie attack after all, and wasn't sure if he was up to handling more than his required quota. Raising herself onto her toes, Xiaoyu craned her neck high to get a glimpse of the speaker, who she assumed to be Snake- despite having communicated with him several times, she had yet to actually meet then man.

Xiaoyu's almond eyes lit up when the general announced the game, her hands coming together to clap excitedly- she ignored the odd looks the other soldiers gave her, too pleased at the choice of training exercise to care. Combined with her agility and her small statue, this was her element! She had been a pro at hide and seek when she was younger, after all.

Her expression almost immediately dropped when he mentioned partners, though. A feeling of anxiety began to bloom in her stomach as she glanced around the area, sizing up each of the other participants. She couldn't help but feel out of place- besides being one of the few females in the session, this wasn't even her brigade.

And so, unsure of what to do, Xiaoyu stood awkwardly in the rear of the training grounds as the other soldiers found their partners, her feet shuffling against the dirt as her hands clasped behind her back.
