Even though I'm not to terribly excited about either democratic party presidential nominee, it has made me think about economies and politics more than normally.
Admist the decay of closed factories in want of tenants, small industrial towns, like my hometown create industrial parks or districts. Basically, taking the unused green spaces outside of town, that once upon a time was farmland, and making appealing for "new industries". If unsuccessful, you basically have water and sewer lines, plus roads, & electric lines to nowhere. I'm curious to do some reading on the success of these endeavors.
I'm also up for some reading on free trade and labor if anyone has suggestions.
