002. The Night.

May 30, 2006 19:48

It's quiet in the night.

Not a sound, not a word but the softness of the wind and the distant car horns of the late night exodus, searching for a tonic to take the edge off the loneliness that burdens their souls...

It gives me ample time to study and to think, and realize that I have been fortunate to have remained so close to home yet so far away.  Kazuki Fuuchouin, strange and quiet, is my new traveling companion.  I've lost everything, but all is not quite as hopeless.  As long as there are people like Kazuki, who are willing to stand my presence for awhile, then perhaps I won't have to go through this alone.

Okinawa at night is not as frantic as it is in Tokyo.   I'll leave it up to Kazuki tomorrow, where we plan to go next.  I owe to him for coming to find me.

I'm still not quite sure how I feel about the idea of sleeping in a Love Hotel in the same room.  But the floor is plush and soft, and at least I won't stay awake all night being totally uncomfortable.  I'm glad I don't suffer from missing out on sleep.
