"Oh, poor Christine!" She shakes her head gravely. "Well, I am sure this Murata is a lovely person if he is anything like any of the Sage-Maou's I have known."

"I did not know her personally," he says, "But I hear she was a good dancer." Especially if she had a pole to work with.

Now... should he tell her.....

"Actually, you being here has probably caused quite a stir. My world's Lady Julia, and this world's Lady Julia, are dead."

"But you talked about her like she was still..." She can't quite finish the thought aloud. But he did, didn't he? He said she was blind. Maybe he didn't imply more, but wow, this isn't a very good game if that is what it is.

"Alive?" he finishes for her. "The one from here has recently been brought back to life in the same process that brought you here. She too has been dead 17 years. She is using the time though, to catch up with old friends."

She just nods as she takes the thoughts in. Another her, dead 17 years ago. Did she and Christine die together? It is a lot, and yet what's done is done and she is here and alive and well and can see. There is much to be thankful for!

She gives him a little smile and a peck on the cheek. "Thank you very much for telling me, Conrad."

....... What the hell!? Did she just F***ing kiss him!? It's only with great restraint that he doesn't backhand her for doing that. "It was nothing," he says, and makes a point to take a step away. "I thought you might be curious."

Is she crazy, or does he seem upset now? GunGun is always scolding her for being so friendly with people she just met. Maybe he just doesn't take gratitude well? The humble sort?

"Well, I wasn't because it isn't the kind of thing one thinks about, but it is good that I know so I don't say anything too stupid. I mean, what if you and her had been in love or something." She laughs at the joke, "that would have been awkward and embarrassing."

"I thought it was interesting. I like to know how I would have done in other worlds if I was born there."

He totally ignores the thing she said about love and such. If Conrad doesn't find it in his time to come home, why should he bother spreading the news of his love life around? Bite me, Conrad.

"So Cheri, and Gunter, is there anyone else you want to meet?"

"Well, I'm not opposed to meeting anyone and everyone. I was hoping to spend some time with Anissina when I got back to my castle. I met the cutest juggler in the human lands while I was at one of the clinics! I think his name was Alford. I was going to tell her about him. Oh, well, the Anissina here probably isn't fascinated by such things," She laughs and smiles warmly.

"Alford Markina. We have two of them at the moment, though one is out of the castle. The other is my roommate." A juggler, a hero, a whore. Apparently Alford's fate is very versitile. He wonders if there is an Alford somewhere in his world. Not that he wants to go back and find out.

"We have two Anissinas as well."

She claps her hands like a school girl. "Lovely! Does your roommate like to juggle too?"

Different kind of balls. "Not that I know of."

"You should suggest it. He is very good with his hands." Smiles the smile of pure, unadulterated innocence.
