Last entry of the morning.
I know my Graduation marks the end of any professional connection (student and teacher) I have with any and all teachers of Claret, but I still find it weird that I am addressed as her "friend". Much more when I consider my parents as my friends. Technically, they are. (well, according to Roel), unless you're not in good terms with your mother and father.
I guess it's just that there's more to parents vs. sons than just being friends. And don't people consider teachers as second parents? Applying logic, you will get the drift.
I mean, it's just that your friends are right beside you. Your parents and teachers aren't necessarily. Instead, they are those that you look up to. They are entities far superior to you. They are guardians that protect you. They are educators that enlighten you.
To make this short (although it already is), I find it weird that ma'am considers me as her friend. Not that I don't want such treatment. It's flattering actually.
