[The only reason Sal locks this is that it's rather similar to how he invited another girl on a date and... considering they didn't work out, but that had been a great date, he'd hate for her to hear this, especially with their recent conversation. However, if she really were to try, it's obviously pretty hackable...]
Hey, Riley? Y'vail'ble t'meet

Sure am. Be there in a few minutes alright?

[Sal shouldn't be too hard to find at all. He's set up a traditional picnic as far away away from many graves as he could. There's a checkered blanket and a basket of food. Sal also brought a painting sketchbook and a pallet of paints in case the urge hits him. Riley does give him that feeling sometimes.]

It isn't hard to find Sal at all, though it is definitely a surprise to see the set up he'd put together down there. Riley's expression of curiosity turns to surprise as she begins to piece together what lays before her.
Riley stops shy of the blanket's edge and smiles at Sal.]
What's all this?

S'a picnic. S'our date! I promised you one, din' I?

A date.
Riley can't remember the last time she was on a date with anyone, and can't remember anyone ever going to such trouble for her. Ever.
At last, she smiles up at him, and reaches out to slide her fingertips down his lower arm.]
You set up a picnic for me?
Reply
S'that what I did? Din' notice.
[He uses his free hand to gesture to the blanket.] Wanna seat?
Reply
Not very observant then, are ya? But don't mind if I do.
[With a chuckle, she lowers herself to the blanket, using her hand in Sal's to keep her descent steady.
For the moment, Riley's going to let Sal lead this whole thing, considering if it were up to her, they'd be ignoring the food and the art supplies.]

I din' know what y'liked, so I brought everythin' I could fin'. [There's probably ten sandwiches in the basket, each individually wrapped in paper, along with plastic containers with fruit, small bags of chips, and a bottle of wine. It's a big basket...]
Don' 'spect y't'eat it all, though. [He adds with a grin.]

Riley looks up to Sal again with a tilt of her head. It's hard not to be struck by the fact that he put quite a bit of time into this. For asecond, it seems as if she's going to say something, or ask something, but Riley covers it with another smile.]
Well I should hope not. There's enough to feed an army.

I wanted t'be sure I got everythin' covered! Don' worry, though, I'll prolly take care'a what you don'.
[He removes the bottle of wine (which Sal can't tell whether it's cheap or not, but it's got a twist top instead of a cork--if Sal were a touch more cultured, he'd probably know) and a pair of plastic cups.]
I ain't real classy, though...

[Riley doesn't sniff at the bottle of wine with the twist top. Wine is wine as far as she's concerned, and right now she's far too floored and touched that Sal went to such trouble for her.
For the moment, she chooses to push away that nagging feeling that really, it would be better for both of them, or at least him, to get out now while it's still early.
Riley grabs for the plastic cups and holds them out so Sal can pour for both of them.]
Who needs class anyway when you're having fun?

M'thoughts 'zactly.
[He tops off the second glass and moves to take it from Riley as he sets the bottle aside.]
How've y'been? [This, Riley, is what's called talking.]
Reply
Not so bad. It's been...a mix of boring and eventful.
[Riley grins and leans on one arm as she continues to sip her wine. There's briefly a thought about her recent evening with Gunn, but once more, Riley pushes that thought to the side for the time being.]
I'm getting to the point where I think I need to find myself a new adventure to get my adrenaline going, y'know?
Reply
What sort've adventure y'talkin'?
[He had told her that dating him would be akin to an adventure and now he's internally crossing his fingers that she still puts some stock in his claim. He'd much rather her enjoy his kind of adventure than go and get killed again.]
Reply
Well I'm open to all kinds. Right now, I'm on a date adventure. Maybe later I'll enjoy a racing-deck adventure. An explore-the-maze adventure. Perhaps even a climb-the-temple-roof adventure.
[Speaking of which, she looks over to the temple down the field from them, quickly assessing the structure for handholds and such. It could be possible...]
Got any ideas?
Reply
I dunno, those all sound like pretty wild adventures, don' know if I can quite top 'em... Though we are on a picnic. Why don' y'have a sandwich adventure, yeah?
[He nods to the basket. He's not going to have one until Riley chooses one for herself. Maybe later there will be some kind of painting adventure or a kissing adventure, but he doesn't want to suggest those just yet.]
