I have a lot of papers and shit to do this week.
I'm nowhere near done with my book or my report in history. Next time I'm just going to take Joan's advice, who is so brilliant and beautiful. *sigh*.
This is from the book I'm reading for Midkiff. I think its very funny.
It talks about this tribe that Lewis and Clark encountered during the winter time of thier expedition.
"The tribe lived in permanent villages, and it was in those villages that the men of the expedition later experienced the sexual liberality they found so attractive. Clark's black servant York was a particular favorite and a source of wonder and fear. The Indians could not believe that his skin was not painted, but his size and mock fearsome behavior scared some of them who believed that he ate children. He was especially attractive to the women who thought that to have sex with him would endow them with special powers. York apparently did nothing to dissuade the women of that opinion, and there were later, unsubstantiated, reports of curly-headed children among the Arikaras" -A quote from "Doctors In The Wilderness" by Dr. Bruce Paton.
Well...time to get to work.
