Escape From The Park Hotel!

On Sunday, after the glorious news that we would be going to the Marriott Royal Court Hotel in Durham next year, a few of us came up with the idea for a fic challenge - Escape From The Park Hotel ( Read more... )

Captain Jack hallucinated Children of Earth after getting food poisoning at the Park. angstslashhope October 1 2009, 17:44:31 UTC
"AUGH!" Jack gurgled, flailing awake, his movement constricted by the free-roaming sheets.

He squinted as the lamp flicked on, then flickered. And flickered. Jack wondered if he might get a better night's sleep if he was (accidentally) electrocuted.

"Are you all right?" Ianto said, the plastic covering on his single mattress creaking as he rolled over to peer at Jack. Jack wasn't sure if it was sweat making his vision swim, or if the heat rising from the heating pipe running along the wall behind Ianto was causing a sort of dessert desert mirage effect.

Ianto looked more grumpy than concerned. Jack was sure he knew just the thing to relieve Ianto of his grumpiness, but despite their proven ability to make use of the narrowness of Jack's bed at the Hub, Ianto had insisted that for what they were paying, they really ought to make use of both the single beds in the room.

Ah well. At least the conditions were perfect for a cold shower.

[feel free to continue.]

Later, back in their room after breakfast, Ianto swooned into Jack's arms and Jack thought Ianto might finally have forgiven him for happily drinking a second cup of the Hotel's coffee -- Ianto got very jealous when Jack drank coffee other people had made, especially when it was cheap instant coffee -- until he got a good look at Ianto's face.

The sweat might be due to the sauna-like heat in the room, and Jack liked to think the dilated pupils and glassy stare was a sign of arousal, but he had to admit that those signs together with the unhealthy green tinge to Ianto's skin anf the repeated swallowing together, probably indicated food poisoning. Dammit.

Sighing heavily, he phoned Gwen to hand over the investigation and proceeded to strip his lover's beautiful body with no hope of sex for the foreseeable future.

Dammit! A day off in a locked bedroom with the man he loved lying in bed -- and no sex. This hotel suckedHe helped Ianto into the bathroom, tried to ignore the noises and the smells, and then helped his poor boy back to ( ... )

In Weiss Kreuz, I'd suggest that either Weiss assassinate the entire staff of the Park for crimes against the helpless guests, or that Schwarz assassinate the entire staff of the Park just for the lulz (and thereafter collapse it into a smoking heap of rubble via the application of angsty teenaged telekinesis). The Assistant Manager can be either saved as a hapless innocent by Weiss, or abducted for nefarious purposes by Schwarz, should they beat Hermione to the Park.

I think I actually had Krycek kidnapping Mulder and Mulder believing Krycek was trying to torture him... but either way around works for me (and them ;-))

MASH - Hawkeye and Trapper arrive... only to leave again because this time the army wasn't making them stay in those conditions.

Due South - Fraser and RayK turn up. Fraser thinks it is perfectly lovely (until he gets told there is a no wolves policy). Ray threatens to kick the manager in the head.

Eh, X-Files - I can never keep those two straight in my head. (Pun very much intended!) They punch each other in such a romantic way. ::g::

Oh, MASH! Hee! I can just picture Hawkeye taking Trapper's arm and saying "Come along, darling, we're leaving!" with a dramatic nose-in-the-air swish and turn, before stalking out. ::G::

And, of, Fraser. He'd be all, "This is very luxurious, Ray!" and Ray'd be all "Luxurious?! Fraser, did you hit your head? Again?"

Ah, now I remember. I like the way you just brought through the carnivorous dinosaurs, and not the team that's meant to protect people. ::g::

Well... at least it's cheaper than therapy?
