It's been 8 years since that day when I was living in Newcastle and went to the shop to buy a can of pepsi looked up at the TV in the corner and saw the world change. People say that they will alway remember the day that JFK was killed but for me I'll always remember the day that made me fear the sound of planes flying overhead. How will I feel when it's been a decade, is this the reason that I want to join the police force? I still can't hear planes overhead without wondering if it's the last thing I'll hear.

I saw the world change that day, and if I hadn't broken my ankle a year before I'd have been in the RAF for about 8 months at that point. As it was my brother went into a war zone and came back a changed man, I apologise for rambling like this but days like today are going to keep on happening.
