Quick post, because that last one was ominous and I'm sorry I left it that way for so long. ^^; I was posting from the FREE airport wifi, but they started boarding before I could type much, and I figured I would be able to follow up from home, but nooooooo.
See, there is internet at home, but there are also two parents to whom I have been bitching about how busy I've been and how behind I am. So the moment I got home...well, ok, they knew I'd been up for two days, so the moment I got home I had dinner and went to bed, but the moment I got up they were all, "Why don't you go read outside? Let me get this lounge chair for you. You sit down and start reading, I'll get you some water!" And so it went, for the entire Thanksgiving Break (when there weren't family-types over). I didn't even get to watch the Macy parade - as soon as I finished my breakfast, my mom was like, "Shouldn't you be reading?" and I was all, "...yes ma'am ._."
I swear. It felt like high school. And with all the coddling, they successfully guilted me into not rebelling and trying to sneak off to get at the internets. Plus, they totally would have caught me. :P On the plus side, though, I got through about 400 much-needed pages of Trusts & Estates and finished most of my Application to Get Permission to Apply to Take the Bar Exam. c.c I just lack the fingerprinting (apparently the cops were closed for Black Friday!) and the calling the DMV for my driving record (shyah, I didn't even try to call them that day).
Oh, right, the last post: I didn't finish editing the article. I was GOOD. I didn't get distracted (besides the occasional peek at LJ) the whooooooole night. But I still didn't finish. ; ; And I'm STILL not finished. But I got a stay of execution, at least!
Y'see, I thought I was just going to hit the microfiche to pick up some missing page numbers, but then I couldn't find the articles. As it turns out, the trouble is that some of Westlaw's news databases are just WRONG - wrong headline, wrong date - and this makes things very hard for me. But, whatever. I am clearly the most cursed Articles Editor ever. I should be done by tomorrow, though. And then it's back to the last 200 pages of T&E. c.c And then the rest of the reading! ^^
