WHAT HAPPENED:

• HOWEVER, YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE STUMBLED UPON A SMALL CABIN! OH HAPPY DAY.
• ... but there's a downside. You see, there's only one blanket, and there's no way it'll keep you warm through the night. There's also no fire place or heater. If you don't find another heat source

[this one was just calmly seated at one corner of the cabin. he's constantly rubbing his arms, just trying to create a warm friction for his body. otherwise, he's kind of just staring into space.]

[What's this, a kid who looks too spacey to steal the blanket away? Kadabra would say it's his lucky day if not for the fact that HE'S TRAPPED IN A CABIN IN A BLIZZARD AND IT'S COLD.

Still, he'll take that blanket and he'll wrap himself up in it like a cocoon. And stare at the weird kid in the corner.

Oh no, a twinge of guilt. He ignores it for now. The guy is fine! Just look at him, all young and energetic.]

[he noticed the presence of someone in the cabin just now, so he turned his head quietly to the source...]

[a Pokemon?! that caused Red to flinch a little, then stood up to head to the Kadabra's side. the poor thing is cold...]

... Hey. [he let out a small smile before placing a hand on the Pokemon's head to greet him]

&hearts Oh good! Some people are iffy about OCs, so I'm always a little hesitant.

[Kadabra was watching him warily. The kid hadn't pulled out a pokemon and tried to catch him, so that was a good sign. He really didn't want to have to Teleport out into the blizzard.

He tensed under the blanket as Red came closer, then blinked in surprise as the hand fell on his head.]

[Suddenly, telepathy:] You flinched. [It sounded like a gentle accusation. Was this guy afraid of psychics or something?]

No, no. I think they're interesting. I have an OC myself. : D

the voice in his head was another surprise to him. he's never met a Pokemon who could do something like this before.

... It's just that I wasn't expecting to see a Pokemon here. Are you okay?

[He tried to force a little briskness into his voice. Come on, where was the crabby attitude he liked to show the world? It was like the weather had sapped it right out of him.]

I've never felt weather like this, that's all. I can't deal with the cold.

Nope! It's not a Pokemon OC, ahaha. Mine's based from an MMO, Ragnarok Online.

[there's a small frown at that. but quietly, Red shifted closer to the shivering Pokemon and helped keep him warm in his arms.

he smiled to him as he did.]

We'll just have to make it together, then.

Oh, gotcha. MMOs are even better than RPGs for building OCs since there's so much customization.

[And poof, suddenly Red was smiling at the air and trying to keep an empty blanket warm. There was an awkward empty silence before:]

...Yeah, right. No problem.

[The Kadabra was across the room now. It was his turn to wrap his arms around himself to keep warm in the corner. Okay, so maybe he'd panicked a little. His kind always had itchy trigger fingers when it came to Teleporting.]

Yep, yep! \o/ It's really fun. ;3; I wished more people made MMO OCs.

[he blinked a little in surprise, he wasn't expecting that reaction. but shortly, he turned his head over to the new location of the Kadabra and kept his smile.]

Don't worry. I won't catch you or anything, if you're nervous about that.

You'd think they would! I've seen a few who play from WoW, but that's pretty much it. :<

[He frowned at the stranger. Was it weird that his first thought was "why not?" He'd avoid being caught at all costs, but the complete lack of interest wounded his pride.]

You must already have a psychic.

[Because surely there was no other possible reason for trainers not to clamour all over themselves for him. He was a Kadabra, dammit, as psychic as they come!]

They should... ;__; There used to be some RO OCs years ago, but they all retired from RP. :<

[Oof! Red, you're hard on the ego, aren't you? There's an embarrassed blush warming his face now. It goes nicely with his sulky expression.]

I'm not. That's crazy.

[Possibly the weakest denial he's ever uttered, but he has no energy in this weather. He's starting to shiver quite visibly.]

but he noticed that sulky look shortly... his cheerful smile mellowed a little. he moved over and tried again... that is, wrapping his arms around the Pokemon to keep him warm.]

Well, you're right. You're kind of cool! I haven't encountered any Pokemon that can communicate in someone's mind like that.

... I guess you're too cool to let someone like me help you warm up. But will you let me, either way?

You're trying to appeal to my ego.

[And it was working. Kadabra didn't teleport away this time, he just stood there woodenly. He didn't know how to respond to this kind of gesture.]

You don't have to do this, you know. I'd be fine if you didn't.

I don't mind... You're actually warm. [tee hee. they're both helping each other this way!]

And, I'm just being honest.

[Kadabra was still just standing there uselessly. Pride and feelings of obligation were clashing in his mind: he wasn't sure he could convince himself to hug a complete stranger, but... well, it wasn't like there was anyone around to see, right? And Red was keeping him warm- surely he should return the favour. One arm left his side and crept upward, but before he could work up the courage to wrap it around Red, he stopped.]

The blanket. Since it's so cold, we should use it.
