It's getting to be that time!
It's almost the middle of October, and you know what that means. Okay, maybe you don't but *I* do. It's nearly BNAT time! Judging from past years, I'd expect the official post with date/instructions/questionnaire at the end of the week, and the murmurings have already begun. Anticipatory tweets earlier today led headgeek666 to announce the theme of this year's flick-a-palooza... BNAT12: The Dirty Dozenth. So many questions - will I be required to take a picture of myself dressed as Lee Marvin? Will I have to list my favorite Charles Bronson role?
I've been working on an all-new (well, mostly new) BNAT tribute video, with new categories and new music. And of course several new clips to incorporate last year's films into the mix. I'm hoping to have it done before the announcement post is made, but that's going to take some doing.
Also, I think I've decided, if I'm lucky enough to go, that I'm going to do the BNAT report a bit differently. I'll still going to do a "short version" and a "long version," but last year's long version was really TOO long, with each film sort of getting its own review in the two posts. So I'll do a full report, with a brief run-down (a paragraph or two) on each film and save actual reviews to eke out over the following week or two. That way, I can say as much as I want about films I really want to gush about and won't feel pressured to fumfer on and on about each one if I don't feel like it.
