The presence of movie #321 on this list intrigues me endlessly. I don't know where this originated, and I couldn't trace the "gacks" back to that one, but I gacked it from nain1. Take this list and post it into your own LJ, and mark the movies you've seen ( Read more... )

I've seen 113, which is odd because I consider myself a total non-movie whore. Guess not. :-)

1. I have only seen 78.

2. I am definitely not a movie whore, much less a ~*~Movie Whore~*~! I suspect the scoring needs to be recalibrated to account for the additional movies.

I've seen 87 and can think of about 6 or 7 not listed that I've seen.

Do foreign films with english subtitles count (e.g. Crouching Tiger)

Sure! Amelie and Kung Fu Hustle are on there, for example.

Yeah, I counted 99 on the list, and there were quite a few I've seen that were not listed. Vertigo, Singin' in the Rain (and a whole slew of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly movies), Strictly Ballroom and other Aussie flicks, Carrington, Angels and Insects, Bound, About a Boy, Bourne I and II, Emma et al Rob Roy, Apollo 13, Space, City of God, Italian Job, Casino, Men with Brooms and other Canadian movies... and those are the ones that come to mind immediately. (I'll stop now!) So, I think I'm a movie slut, just not your typical movie slut.

Oh, there are lots of films I've seen that aren't on the list. It looks like the list is mostly the personal additions by the string of people who've done the meme and added the five movies like it says.

Still ... there are some interesting inclusions.

I'm at 130 although my movie-watching has dropped drastically in recent years. Many of the things on there are in my Netflix Queue though.

Of the ones you haven't seen, here are a few recommendations (sort of -- a couple are in that "make fun of what people like" category).

If you do ever like dumb comedies, I laughed much harder at Dodgeball than I should have; and there's always Meet the Parents. I just recently saw Harold and Kumar and got a big kick out of it. 13 going on 30 was mostly only OK but did have some fun 80's nostalgia (and Mark Ruffalo was dreamy). Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (yes, the order was wrong) was funny, iirc. And, duuuuuude, no Spinal Tap????

I know, I know. I own it, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

That should be a category: movies you own but haven't watched yet.
