SATURDAY WAS SO MUCH FUN.
So I got up, went into Tatamagouche, got Matty's birthday present because I knew his birthday was on a weekend I was home, and didn't want to forget. I encountered a car accident on the way, but it looked to be under control and there was a guy directing traffic around it so I said a little prayer and went on. Didn't read anything in the paper about it, so I'm not overwhelmingly guilty about not stopping- and it's not like I was the only person/car around. There were like 20.
Stopped in at Marni and Shanes, where I played with Ada to help tire her out before they set out for PEI. Then I got coerced into cleaning out the compost bins and running the dishwashers before I left.
Went to Wendy's to drop off Stina's glasses; continued on to Frenchy's for work jeans. No great finds- just some to get me through, as my present ones are bursting out in holes.
Went back to Marni and Shane's, put the compost bins on to soak, ate the leftover chinese food...drove into Halifax. Chilled with Matty and Celina, but didn't get to see Meghan at first because she was babysitting. The three of us went to MicMac, I got new sneakers and a new CD. Got slightly lost looking for one of the liquor stores in Halifax. Got some alcohol so we could get a bit drunked up before refs.
Got dressed. Matty picked Meghan up, brought Meghan home, we started drinking a bit....Meghan did my makeup...I was SO PRETTY, at least compared to usual...Meghan dropped us off, we stood in line for a while. We got into refs, and it was INSANELY CROWDED. Celina and I waited in line for the bathroom for a ridiculously long time. It was a good thing we sweated the rest of the liquid in our bodies out (yeah. gross. whatever. Suck it up.) because the lineup was pretty consistently long. Celina and I then immediately started dancing and only took a few breaks all night. I saw a guy from my biochem lab, and some random boy started dancing with us, which was weird but fun. I finally met Kelly-Ryan, and he's a big sweetie. We started walking home around 4 and ran into people from highschool...then we got back to the apartment at about 5.
The next day, we all slept in. Cel and Ina and I went on a sushi search but I forgot about the odd sushi restaurant hours so we ended up eating at the thirsty duck and having tea for dessert, which was pretty nice. Then I headed home.
An exchange that took place earlier:
Ronnie: Looks like we're going to have some good weather tomorrow.
Dad: It's pretty exciting!
Ronnie: We're easily amused, aren't we?
