Shadowplay
Last night's Shadowplay went well. Fairly good turn out, and Halluciagea were neat despite a few technical difficulties with some new gear. I would definitely be keen to see them play again.
Only downer to last night was the body-mod doco Duncan bought to play on the big screen.. I personally just can't stomach that stuff. Even Greg said he had to turn away at points, and I imagine he's seen a fair bit of weird shit on that screen. For some reason Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas played second, but it was welcome relief to not have to avoid looking at the screen. DJs Imaginary Boy and Hallucination played some great music too. Both DJs (as well as the band) had people up and dancing, which can sometimes be no mean feat with the goths.. :)
HypnorotoMachina
Today involves work. Tonight involves a half hour run through of my set for
tomorrow night at the Adelaide. I'm hoping to get some of the new material up on the Myspace tonight too. It's a 36 minute long piece (broken into five parts), the total of which is called Odyssey. The track listing is:
- Drift - 6:04
- Approach - 7:34
- Orbit - 5:45
- Exploration - 11:11
- Departure - 5:54
I think that's about all that's going on at the moment. A couple of people have announced their leaving work, which could give me the opportunity to get in on some of the stuff they were doing. One of which gets me a new PC decked out with a video editing suite of some nature (and constructed with that in mind), so fingers crossed.
