This show is over but to me it will never be.
I was just sitting here, trying to find something to do instead of studying for my exam and then it came to me... Blog about LOST. About Jack and what an asshole he is. Oh yes hatepost! Oh well, I don't hate him that much actually... It's actually pretty sad that he died. I just hate him with Kate. With a passion. I know no other pairing that literally can make me shudder and want to close my eyes, except from maybe Finn/Rachel from Glee, that's a rather annoying/awful pairing as well.
Anyway. I don't think Jack has ever made me so pissed off like he did in S1, Whatever the case might be. Jack, you inconsiderate asshole.

Who died and made you the one everyone spilled their deepest darkest secrets to? She's known you for like a week.

Then he just looks at her with that disgusted look on his face and I just want to smack him. And then he just leaves. Jackass.

He's also a little hypocrite. A few days earlier he was all "ooooh, I don't need to knooooow, we've got a new life now, none of that matters." Stfu bitch, apparently it does.
This is one of the reasons they are such a bad couple. Kate doesn't need a man who makes her feel bad. She doesn't need a "good" man like that who makes her feel like scum. She needs someone like Sawyer, who gets her, who's on her level. Jack is someone she thinks she needs to be a good person, but he's not.
Sawyer and Kate don't have to pretend to be someone they're not when they're together. It's magical, their chemistry comes through the screen, I've never seen anything like it. He never judged her, he never even asked about her past. He never wanted to change her, that might be the most important thing here. Jack wants someone to fix, we all know that, he knows that. He couldn't fix Sarah, and he couldn't fix Kate.
Kate, however, Kate made Sawyer a better person. He went from being a complete and, seemingly, heartless bastard to the most heroic man on the island.
(btw, that hot artery!guy from Grey's Anatomy is totally on tv now. Isn't he just adorable?)
I'm trying to think of a time there was ever such a tender and loving Jate scene like this.... and I can't.
I still remember when we first saw this scene...... the celebrating could be heard from the moon.
