Time for an update, life is pretty good, been feeling a litttle under the weather doctor says it's a virral infection, not much they can give me for it just have to let it run its course. Been off work this week just trying to catch up with sleep and stop feeling so run down seems to be working......probably going back to work on Monday.
So whilst i've been off been doing some catching up in my many fandoms, I'll put the most of the rest of this under cuts to protect the innocent and those that have no interest :) but I don't honestly think there's much here thats spoilery but you never know.
Series 3 continues to be made of win, I'm loving it so far Martha is brilliant and has totally filled the role that Billie decided to give up beautifully. Oh and I've found myself shipping Doctor/Martha already LOL *headdesk* favourite episode so far is probably Gridlock. Fantastic story, strong writing, Face of Boe, great CGI, Ardal O'Hanlon, kittens, Martha gets the doctor to talk about Gallifrey, Gallifrey!!! she gets more out of him in two minutes than Rose did in two seasons (and that's not Rose bashing, thats a fact) SQUEE!! seriously it doesn't take a lot to make me happy, the Face of Boe's message made me very very very happy.
Oh and if Doctor who isn't good enough i'm having serious difficulty not swooning everytime I watch Doctor Who confidential because Anthony Head is only bloody doing the naration this series, oh mama that mans voice is like velvet and it still has the power to send me weak at the knees, I'm doomed I tell you doomed .......
And then of course there's Freema, oh my if I didn't love this woman already I then find out she's a trekkie , not only does she love sci-fi, she freaking loves DS9, this makes me all warm inside and grining like a loon. She's even done cons infact she and I both did the Royal Albert Hall gigs (it's a small world) and she's dressed up as Dax!! she totally rocks I love her I absolutely love her.
Finally caught up with BSG I'm bang up to date now thanks
demon_faith for the lil linky *smirk* Ooooh i'm really enjoying this season so far, lots of Calum Keith Rennie, lots of Lucy Lawless Hmm it's shallow but I find this makes me happy :) I managed to blitz 14 episodes in three days (did I say how much I love that link) *obssessed much* so I am now able to watch the rest of the series as they are shown on Sky 1. It still remains a show with tight writing and interesting storylines. I hope we get to find out the final five am looking forward to see what the rest of the season holds.
OMG!!! finally caught up with series 4 of NCIS and have now seen the first three episodes (no spoilers please) I'm very impressed so far, I love that Tony is so much more mature this season and I hope they develop him even further. Is it me or is Tim turning into Tony *smirk* but anyways it's really good and if the season continues on in this vein I think i'm really going to be a happy girl.
Heroes continues to be must watch tv, every week leaves me salivating for more. Hiro continues to be utterly adorkable and the double act between him and Ando is made of win. It's just such a good show, seriously if you haven't caught it yet go watch, the premise is great, the writing is tight you just wanna know whats going to happen next, I just adore it.
Oh this was good, I love NY anyways but when they revist storylines like the "Shane Casey" story thats when it really hits its stride. You just knew he was waiting to get Hawkes and that he wasn't going to let him off lightly for his supposed crime, and oh boy they didn't disappoint. Poor Hawkes talk about being put through the ringer, and I loved the writers choice that it was Danny that understands what Casey is trying to do no matter that the method is totallly wrong. He'd do the same for his brother too, so it made sense that it was Danny that talked him round by showing him that his brother really was guilty. Brilliant ep just brilliant.
Oh and last night I finally managed to sit down and watch Wallace and Gromit The curse of the were rabbit, what a fantastic movie I love Aardman and adore Wallace and Gromit so I knew I'd enjoy this, spent most of it in a minor giggling fit there are some priceless moments and if I didn't think it before I now firmly believe that Nick Park is a genius and simply can do no wrong. I urge you to give this a chance if you haven't seen it, yes it's a family film but there is something for everyone it's one of those movies that just leaves you smiling, Its definitely one I'm now gonna have to own and add to my rapidly growing Aardman collection :)
Anyways think thats it for know :)
