Made it to Maine in record time, 6 hours and 15 minutes! It usually takes 7 hours but we only made one brief stop.
Went straight to my mom's house and then took her to the Colonial Theater to see Walk The Line. I was stunned. 30 minutes in I completely forgot who Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon were. They absolutely nailed their parts. Afterwards we took her home and listened to more Johnny and ate yummy goat cheese and roast beef sandwiches.
My mom was so cute, clapping her hands and singing all the songs. It was so cool to see her happy. She was sad just a few days ago, just lonely from not having my dad around anymore. We've only got one parent left between the two of us, so we intend to totally spoil her with love.
It is so gratifying to see the two women I love the most get along so well. Happiness like this has always eluded me, I never thought I'd get to feel this good.
