It’s spring break! Ahaha, not that it means all that much… I’ll just be working all week. Need that mulla! But it will be nice to just work outside and possibly get a lil more color to my skin, lol ( Read more... )

things that make you go hmmmm... anonymous March 6 2006, 19:21:54 UTC
Really, as I'm reading this, I know that the song that is going through your head right now is: "I'm too sexy for this suit, too sexy for this tie...too sexy..." C'mon...am I right or am I right!? hehe...

And sometimes we have to start at the bottom to get to the top. Even with a Master's degree I found myself subbing for over 2 years before getting a job, and who knows if I'll have it come the fall...I'm the low woman on the totem pole...but, I try to leave it to God. He knows where we should be and what we should be doing that will help us achieve what should be our true goal: getting into the Kingdom. Our job should be one of service, not exploitation. you ask what satisfaction there is to selling plumbing supplies? Not only will you make amazing contacts with all sorts of business owners, but it's a job that you will think about everytime "nature calls..." Remember, those plumbing supplies make it possible for us to use the toilet in a room in our house, so that we aren't trapsing through a foot of snow and ice, avoiding the racoons and coyotes, in order to "skip to the loo, my darling." Indoor plumbing rules, and don't you ever forget it!

It will come...God will provide...just be prepared for something you might not find all that romanticized.

Much love and good luck!
Melissa

PS: So nice of Tommy to call me last Friday...I miss your southern accents...don't be a stranger!

ahaha, too sexy.

I understand that I can't expect to just walk into a wonderful job or even start in something really exciting. I should have said that in my company research of that particular job I saw a lot of other things that I didn't like. Very high turnover, bad training, and even crazy high divorce rates are a bit of a turnoff. So yes I didn't really like the thought of just working for a plumbing place... but even more so the company itself. Anyways, it didn't hurt me to turn down the second interview when they called today.

But come on... how hot is a banker or financial planner? lol
