Discedo

The city of Discedo is moderately sized as cities go. It is bordered to the north and west by a large lake. It is bordered to the east and south by a thick forest and to the southeast by mountains. There is a highway at the center that turns into bridge over the lake bed. Unfortunately for characters, however, it has collapsed about half a mile out. Surrounding the city are six small radio towers each blinking a different colored light from it's tip. These Radio Towers emit a high frequency noise that keep the Conceptual Fish out and away from Discedo.

Travel
To get to Spero- three day boat trip across the lake (if one can acquire a boat) or a week walk through heavy monster country or a seven hour trip by subway.
To get to Dissimulo- three day walk through monster-infested woods or a two hour trip by subway.

The Residential District is home to several important buildings. There are several apartment buildings, but the darker-colored ones denote buildings that have been destroyed or are otherwise uninhabitable. Apartments are five stories tall with around 25 rooms per floor, except for Marchall Street Apartments which only have three floors now. Saint Andrew's Hospital is important as it is where characters are dropped after being revived from death. Horizon Park is not so much a park as it is a dirt clod with rotting tree trunks and rusting playground equipment.

APARTMENT BUILDINGS
Generally where most characters have taken up residence. Although characters are free to live in other buildings besides the apartments, the apartments do house most of the overall community living in Discedo.

MARSHALL STREET, LATIMIR STREET, & HORTON STREET APARTMENTS
Most apartments have basic furnishings like beds, tables, fridges, stoves, etc. They've been looted of anything valuable, but there's probably some cutlery and general kitchenware left behind. Some furniture may have been looted as well and moved to other apartments.

GOHL HOUSES
Row houses along the lake. They look to have had much repair to them.

MARINER HIGH SCHOOL
Dirtied papers and halls and halls of rusted lockers are all that remains of this school. The building itself has taken some damage over the past few years. A large chunk of wall facing Lander Boulevard was taken down, the auto shop was burned completely down, and the auditorium shows signs of explosions and fire damage.

LITTLE ANCHOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mostly empty and in poor condition from disuse. Some parts show heavier damage than others. There is a fenced-in playground that is quite rusted.

ST. ANDREW'S HOSPITAL
Here, characters are revived from death. They wake up in patients' rooms among the second and third floor. As of 2009, doctors also take and treat patients in the hospital, after clearing out monsters and making it habitable. The boiler and generator have been repaired and are in working condition.

SAINT PETER'S CHURCH
A church of uncertain denomination, it's slightly damaged but has been used as both a church and a residence over the years. The grave yard is partially destroyed.

The Seaport does not have much to offer at this point in time. The Fish Market, however, delivers the pungent aroma of decaying animal matter.

THE SUBWAY
Originally found on Brebo Avenue, the entrance is impassable now. However there is an entrance on Gar Street. The basic layout is the same.

The Shopping District is important in the way of supplies and possibly entertainment. There are a few clothing stores if characters are so inclined to shop, though the darker ones have collapsed. The few restaurants that are left may offer canned supplies. The North Star Superstore is similar to a Target or Wal*Mart; you can assume it has similar merchandise. The Arms Store is one you may get excited about, but keep in mind its location. At the outskirts, you may run into more powerful enemies. If you can survive long enough to get inside, good luck getting the supplies out.

* The gas station was destroyed in a explosion.

CHRISTIAN FREDERICK APARTMENTS
Designed by Denmark, this building was finished in Spring 2011 with the help of several characters over nearly a six month span.

HISTORICAL MUSEUM
Burned down and destroyed by Holden's arsenal rampage. What is left is debris and a secret underground bunker containing a recording set most will recognize to be Discedo's Channel 8 news, Spectavi. The remaining building is salvageable, but unusable in its current state.

LIBRARY
Was also burned to the ground thanks to Holden. Nothing recognizable remains.

PLAY HOUSE & MOVIE THEATER
Both have suffered heavy damage due to fire and are currently inhabitable.

Aside from a few ominous warehouses, the Industrial District is home to the Waste Treatment Center and the Hydroelectric Plant. The Hydroelectric plant is currently supplying power to these locations.

The Commercial District has a few things of interest. It houses a lot of offices and political buildings, although most have either collapsed or seen better days.

CITY HALL & COURT BUILDING
After a satellite crash and a second massive explosion, the building is no longer inhabitable. Very little remains to be salvageable.

POLICE STATION
The Police Station was burnt down and all that remains are debris and parts of walls attached to the holding cells.

FIRE STATION
Still standing but in disrepair.

CAPTAIN'S PARK
Captain's Park is in much the same condition as Horizon Park, minus the playground equipment but with more monsters due to it's location.
