End of the year
(tl;dr version (stolen from Xugglybug/Katie: This was a year of four parts...up until march, I was somewhat optimistic, the second saw me giving up on things, and having no motivation, the 3rd had me reveling in new found independence, and the forth was all about trying to find a place in different groups and having no money)
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Went abroad on my own, moved out of the family home, fired a gun, been to a music festival, gone to the theater. And bungee jumped!
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
last year's was 'grow up a bit' I have done, but have also done the opposite! This year? I will make a couple.
'Release Duke Nukem Forever' is one (only 2 people will get that one!) and the other is 'Speak up a bit more'
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
An uncle had a new daughter, but I'm not close to him.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
no
5. What countries did you visit?
France, Scotland, Wales
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
money, and that which money can't buy
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
A day in january when I said something I should not have, a week in autumn where there were some very odd conversations, The summer of music, travel dressing up and general fun times
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Awarded Societies Personality of the Year
9. What was your biggest failure?
My degree
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Brett shot half my face off!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
uniforms
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My housemates for putting up with me, Brett and Spanky have been great...
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Mine, and some peole who've cause trouble for my friends.
14. Where did most of your money go?
I wish I knew!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going to visit the Spanky family, Preston Pans, Download, going to the land of the fairies, (though I never did in the end...hopefully will next year)

a) happier or sadder? happier...I'm more comfortable living with friends then with family, and I've been able to be more open with myself and friends.
b) thinner or fatter? thinner..just started loosing some weight
c) richer or poorer? poorer

Uni work, talking to friends who are distant
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Volunteering in the first part, being a chicken for the whole year

Gary the gunsmith's having a load of re-enactors round for a piss up!

A few small crushes...didn't go do lally over anyone new...

Been wtching Ivor the Engine? that _was_ on tv...

Angry and pissed off at a few, but not hate.

some kind of independence

a long term techy job
