The thing I hate about pride is that it's so sensitive. The slightest prod against it side, it would explode a volcano of molten lava and fire--going int a huge rampage to demolish everything in its sight, creating new barrier against its exterior to defend itself. The thing I hate about pride is that it doesn't admit when it's wrong. It uses its integrity to stomp others down even when it knows that it's wrong. I hate pride's discrimination against others of its kind and view itself highly above all else. I hate the fact that pride call itself respect but there is much hypocrisy in its way. I hate pride. But oh how the apple does not fall far from the tree.
When will we admit that we are all just humans and we make mistakes and that we are wrong? Do we have to, because of other's pride, remain silent when we know that they are wrong? Yes, not mistaken, not incorrect, WRONG. Such clash in culture and the meaning of respect.
One thing I learned today: if you say your parents are wrong, then you are at wrong. Pride is everything in this family.
