two-oh-oh-niner
Man, it only seems like yesterday we hit the millennium, and today we are nine years into it. 2008 was a roller-coaster of a year for me, having had my lowest low and then having things work out fairly well towards the end. Last year my home was at work - was screamed at for taking initiatives and then depended upon, and felt humility and pride at the same time. Prideful at seeing a difficult project with difficult people through, but humbled at how far still I have to go (and how little energy I have for it). Buuut hey! Now I know what I need to do and having a bit more confidence and less a fear of failing will help.
I rang in the new year with a lot of chai, close friends, and some wannabe hippies. Bye 2008, may '09 be smoother sailing for all of you and the world in general. We need it! Back to desert country tomorrow.
