i-D fall 2012: Guinevere van Seenus

I FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON THIS MAGNIFICENT ISSUE!!
Yeah I know I sounded so overrated, but really, it was the right decision to go to Pondok Indah Mall (PIM) today coz I was craving this magazine for real *ok ignore that* well, the point is, I GOT IT. Last time I went to Kinokuniya on Thursday, I saw 2 covers, Linda Evangelista and Guinevere van Seenus. This time, only 1 cover left, the Guinevere one. OK, so this left me in a no-need-to-decide situation; although there is a moment when I still want to request for another alternative cover from other Kinokuniya store - but it is impossible because: (1) it turns out that the magazine is pretty much sold out quickly and arrives in a limited stock, with no possible reorder; and (2) the magazine could not be transferred to another store. The salesclerk even told me that if I see a nice magazine next time, better grab it fast coz the item is likely to be sold out quickly.

Still sealed and wrapped in plastic

After being unwrapped (not yet opened)

And my boyfriend's (epic fail) attempt to shut her right eye only xP just kidding. I adore that gesture, coz I can't shut my right eye, only the left one.

Pancious coco berry pancake+waffle (this is just a bonus pic). Thanks God I have a benefit member card so I got a discount today hehe :D

ETA: the photos are taken by Nokia C5 and iPod touch. :)

I'm totally too excited about this magazine; and after I have browsed through the pages and looked at the editorials, I have to say: This edition is a must-have. I'm totally satisfied with the contents, lest the covers/edits by Emma Summerton, the edits by Daniele + Iango are PERFECTION. Yes, they are that fabulous. Collector or not, you gotta have this issue. It's like I saw i-D on a whole different level like Vogue Italia (coz sometimes I got a sense i-D is more like a street fashion magazine rather than runway fashion magazine). For the cost of Rp177,000, this magazine sums up the iconic supermodels in a nice black-and-white photography (the original list price is £6.00/$12.99). Almost all of the exact images of the covers are included inside the edits, except Gisele Bundchen, Kristen McMenamy, and Isabeli Fontana; the only thing that I hate is they don't include Isabeli's cover in the edits. Damn, they know it was destined to be rare and unique.

Overall, I'm not disappointed at all with the Guinevere cover, I think she looked stunning as Marylin Monroe. Although after I have looked at her edits, I thought that one of her photos looked way more beautiful to be the cover. But it's fine, coz honestly I always find her face looked quirky (and I mean in Vogue Italia also). I couldn't get my hands on the previous showstopper issue, i-D March 2009: The Best of British issue by Solve Sundsbo (covers: click here), so being able to acquire this edition is totally a relief for me. :)

If anyone is interested, the HQ scans can be found in TFS. Not gonna post here, coz I don't feel like scanning mine, hehe :D

ETA: I found the Isabeli Fontana's cover as well, HUGE THANKS to my boyfriend! ❤
Apparently it's still available at Kinokuniya Plaza Senayan.
