late night thoughts in the week of my vacation
bertrand russell is reading "Why I Am Not A Christian" in the background. Christmas lights are the only sources of light in the room besides my laptop - the multi-colored bulbs strung around the room that remind me of the circus, and the tree in the corner is emanating purple and white. Brian calls it a "droid" color scheme.
I've been wasting my vacation and my brain in the escapist reality of a video game. Not sure entirely why...I know that it is easy to fall into the story and its characters, but it's all the worse than a book or film because it drags me in for weeks instead of days. Somehow got pulled out of it tonight, which is good, cause I would like to spend my free time writing...or at least cleaning or something.
or shopping. blech. I can't believe shopping is a necessity.
