So I do have plenty of things to write about, let's see if I can remember them all. The biggest thing was my trip to Washington DC last weekend. I drove up to Indy on Thursday night, then before the ass-crack of dawn was on a plane to BWI. I got picked up by
skiprudder at the airport and we went down to Washington proper to spend some time at the mall. We tried to go to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, but that was a bust. I would have liked to see it, but at the same time, I can only get so excited about money that isn't mine. We did see the Museum of Natural History, and went through a bit of the East Wing of the National Gallery. We left downtown quite early, and while I must confess to being a bit disappointed about that, it turned out to be for the best.
The next day was the Rally to Restore Sanity. Which was, of course, quite insane. The crowds were bigger than could really be taken in. It was just people as far as you could see. The trains were madness. On the way in, we got on a new train with no passengers. It was full beyond capacity by three stops. We had seen the stage the day previous with no one around, and the jumbotrons and loudspeaker systems seemed to go quite far down the mall. If you were in a whole in the ground last week, you probably heard they weren't. I could hear just a little bit sometimes. We went down with Skip, his Bunny, and two other friends. The two other people really weren't feeling the crowds, and bailed early. I could tell Skip and Jake were fading fast, Jake was in fursuit, so I arranged to stay downtown while they went back home. Went into the Hirshorn, listened to the very end of Jon Stewart's speech and then went into the Museum of the American Indian. I wanted to meet up with Skifox, but my phone was dying quickly, and couldn't really get a signal or data through reliably. I eventually got on a train out to the suburbs in Virginia, where I had a nice dinner with
the_gneech and Laurie. Got back to Maryland eventually, and lounged a round a bit recovering from the exertion. The next day was mostly low key, had lunch at a diner, then wandered around the antique stores in Ellicot City, then flew back to Indy.
I uploaded some photos here:

I watched one episode with the 10th Doctor, Blink, and two with the 9th doctor, the one that introduced Captain Sparrow. It was fun, not sure how much I'll have time to really watch over the next couple months though.
Computer woes may have been sorted out at this point, thanks again to Skip. Something about my graphics card does not get along well with the rest of my computer. Not sure what's up with that.
Last thing for now, since this is getting long. I'm thinking about signing up for a 10k run/walk on thanksgiving morning. I'm horribly out of shape, but I think it might be a fun thing to do anyway. Anyway, back to work, lots to get done and work on that I haven't talked about here.
