I got lunch tickets today (free food!), but I still have to wait on my Stacks of Cash (TM) until tomorrow, since the Director of the lab has yet to sign the forms I need to fill out. Also I have yet to find a good time to hijack Elena and get her to help me with the paperwork for the Permesso di Soggiorno, but I've still got a few days on that, so it should be all good.
Been training to assemble the detector arrays for the test of the new crystals that are being grown for CUORE, which is not technically my job, and to play around with liquid nitrogen and liquid helium, which is. Good times all around.
Also, for those of y'all who have a Yahoo! ID (I'm not going to ask the rest of you to get one just to accommodate me for a month), I've discovered that there's this thing that allows you to IM from a browser rather than downloading a client, which bypasses the porting problem I've experienced with Pidgin. Name is my old KU email address (minus the @ku.edu part, of course).
