'RPG-z0rd', as they say

Can I ask everyone to do me a favor and post a brief character background and possibly some pertinent stats that they've figured out for next year's Buffy game? I'm looking through the modules and trying to figure out which one(s) would be best adaptable for what you guys want to do.

Mechanics wise, the Pyrokineticist quality is obviously going to be the most important one here (although other "energy" types, like Gwen's electricty, cold, acid, sonic, water, air, earth, could be fun to play with, depending on what you thought would be game workable--fire is a fine default, though). He's also going to definitely pick up Artist (with a few corresponding skill ranks, naturally), and *gasp* skip on Nerd/Brainiac.

He may end up having one (maybe even more) of Telekinesis, Enchanter, or Superscientist at low levels, for his other dabblings in the occult. Although he'll have a high enough Will (I'm thinking a Big Damn 6 here, sir) and Occultism to be a decent spellcaster, he probably won't actually have Sorcery, at least not at character creation. Although he might pick it up later through XP (learning it along the way, depending on how the game goes), he's definitely not going to begin as a mage.

Appearance is a must (it can't be an accurate Buffy game otherwise), Resources almost equally so, and Occult Library will probably be invaluable, as far as I want to emphasize the "curious occultist" angle. I don't think I need to tell you how much Hard to Kill I'll be buying, because I've found that being hard to kill actually makes you very difficult to kill. Who knew? A little bit of Good Luck might go along well with it. Fast Reaction Time was in the original plan, but it looks like it's getting axed. Nerves of Steel is going to be entirely backstory based, which means that I might end up playing the "not yet fallen to evil" version of the character, if only because I might run out of points otherwise. ^_~

Paranoia and Cruelty are going to be on the disadvantages list, level depending on if he's actually evil, or just scared. Love/Tragic Love may make an appearance, too. Honorable and Bad Luck have as much of a chance of appearing on my sheet as Alyson Hannigan does at my doorstep with a dessert cart. I can't remember what else I was thinking about, but I'm sure it all adds up to ten points (maybe nine, to allow for an extra bit of cruelty later ^_~).

Stats wise, I'm thinking 6 Will, 3/4 Str and Int. The powergamer in me wants a 5 Dex for the extra action, but I don't know if that'll end up happening (maybe I'll level it up midgame). Con and Per are probably going to be my dump stats, making this the second time in a row I've broken the very important character creation rule of "Don't dump your Con, for the love of Buddha!" Although my 11 Con (finally 12 after hitting fourth level) D&D barbarian seems to be surviving well, so you never know.

And that's it, I think. Not that I've been thinking about this/looking formard to the game, or anything. ^_~
