Ugh. The laptop that Jim got for school seems to suck balls. Either that.. or it could be the internet connection in our apartment. He SWEARS it's good internet, but it's always cutting out and disconnecting.. so annoying. That last entry was supposed to post like sometime last week, but it never went through and I guess I gave up. Oh well. Let's do a recap. It's Sunday.. again. Worked about 5.5 hours of overtime today. That was alright. I wanted to come home and do some cleaning/laundry.. didn't go that way (as usual). After work I went to Layne Bryant to get Barb something for her birthday.. we're all going to Lenny and Joe's for her and Wanda's annual birthday dinner. I am usually really good at buying gifts.. just came so fast this year. Anyway.. she's too hard to buy actual clothes for.. ended up with a gift card.. I'd rather she just got get something that she'll like. I got Wanda two shirts that I found. They were having a sale 50% off tops. I found a shirt that I also liked and got it too. Haha, we will match. I still want to go and get her a recliner.. just haven't had the chance to do it yet. We need to get Jim's dad's truck because I want to go to the pit at Bob's but I don't think they offer delivery from there. Anyway. Went tanning after that, and then to the dollar store to get a card/gift bag. Dinner is at 8 PM tomorrow.. friggin bedtime! Hahaha. It'll be fun, though. Jim has a quiz tomorrow (he has class at 8) but it'll probably only take a few minutes so he plans on meeting us there since his school isn't too far away. I will stall :P
Weekend recap, shall we? Friday was good. I ended up leaving working at 3. As usual, no desire to be there anymore. I had a lot to do anyway. I decided to take Wanda out on Friday, but I also wanted to go see Ewe and the baby. I also had to go tanning and get my eyebrows done. Just didn't have enough time for everything. Anyway--went to Ewe's after work, got there around 4. It was a nice visit. Stayed a few hours. Her child took well to me. It made me happy. He's so cute. Lmao.. he always has this straight ass face on. It cracks me up. He's also food aggressive, hahahaha. It was fun. I want to go see her again soon. Can't believe the kid is already like 9 months old. Time flies.. with all kids, I guess. Anyway. Got my eyebrows done after, then picked up Wanda. She went to the grocery store while I went tanning. She didn't have to get much. End of the month, so she's outta cash for the most part. I ended up covering the bill. She gets paid again Wednesday so she can pay me back then. We decided that she was going to stay at my house Friday night so I wouldn't have to go and get her Saturday morning before the Big E. We ended up watching General Hospital until like midnight. Haha. Went to the Big E on Saturday for Wanda's birthday. Another year.. thank you, Jesus. It was a good time. I didn't stay too long. I saw what I wanted to see, ate what I wanted to eat.. and left. It was very crowded and I can only take so much for so long. Jamie/Bri came late because Jamie had to work. Ended up doing the Wanda swap around 3-4? I forgot. I was so tired. The new casino in Springfield was like 2.2 miles away so we took a pit stop there on the way home. No luck. Luck has been going to shit lately. Came home. Wanda, Jamie, and Bri came by the house after they left the Big E because I had Wanda's purse. We had Chilis for dinner.. then ended up going to bed fairly early. Overall, it was a good day. The Durham fair starts Thursday. I have never been to that.. maybe this year we will have a go at it.. Maybe. Sara's mom texted me today. Asked if we could take Benny from Thursday-Monday. Little guy! I miss him. I think we're taking him for two weeks at the end of next month. At least it'll give me an excuse to walk. Haha.
Things have been going really well lately.. I'm so grateful for that. Although we're on opposite schedules (again), Jim and I are balancing our time together pretty smoothly. I think it's a lot to do with the fact that I am working out more. My mood is improving, and I actually want to be around people again.. sort of :P We have a few fun things coming up. It's always nice to do things together. I don't think we do enough of that. Hooray for bringing date nights back! I've been out of control with my spending again, though. Only real negative I can think of at this time. Over the passed like week.. I've managed to purchase one pair of rain boots, a new purse, two pairs of other boots, a pair of booties... and a bunch of clothing. Ugh.. forever my downfall. I think I'm under control again, though. I just get so bored at work that I just start looking at things I like.. and then I have no control.. so they're mine by the end of the day.. no impulse control. Oh well.
In other news, it's finally Fall! It was very chilly today. I love the Fall.. although, I'll be complaining in a few weeks that I am too cold to go on. Haha. I am so picky with weather. Jim and I are watching the football game now. I think I am going to read my book soon before trying to fall asleep again. Might be hard due to my long (an late) nap. We'll see what the night brings.
