As I had no plans tonight... I decided to go and catch a fringe show. On the way there I saw a giant (several metre) wine bottle made entirely of corks and admired the Rundle Lantern as seen above - there was a segment of space invaders but sadly I did not catch that! I think the strangest thing I've yet seen on it is a pixellated version of Nick Xenophon riding a battery operated toy car.

The show I went to see was Dick Darrow: NCSSI (Not Completely Serious Supernatural Agent). It was a perfect example of a fringe show - small scale but done well, funny and decidedly offbeat. There were some tricks built into the show which were done very well - though as I was sitting on one front corner I could see how one of them worked ^.^;

After that, in the same venue, there was 'Ell Bella's Late Night Variety Assortment' - a ten dollar cabaret style show with four acts (different every night). I thought I might as well, so bought a ticket, ate churros (yuuuuum!) and went to see it. There were four acts, and two in particular I really enjoyed. They wer Mr Fibby - a musical act unlike any other I've seen, and Grant Goldie who did two sections, including this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_f2p9-ab54 (different performance of it, obviously). Do watch the video, it's awesome :D The presenter also did some glass walking - the glass was rougly broken jagged wine and beer bottles, and she not only walked, but JUMPED on it. Barefoot. Without so much as scratching herself. I'd say that was ten dollars well spent.

After that, I made my way home... now I really should get to bed as I have to get to work tomorrow afternoon...
