Emotion Kills

Vengeance-an emotion of brutal strength and heart-wrenching consequences-is a motive behind remarkable events of strength, courage and bravery.

Vengeance was all that was on her mind after recalling the cruelty played out in front of her eyes. The smashed bloodied corpse was an unbearable sight. The fragile infant lay in a scarlet heap at the base of the great oak. Her heart was pierced in pain for the tiny blanket, but the boiling anger proved stronger than her torment. Hannah Dustin was on a mission; vengeance would be sought out for this cold-blooded crime.

In the view of only the night stars, Hannah slithered her way behind a sleeping savage and in the dead of night stole his tomahawk. In an instant, before having time to say anything, the tomahawk became imbedded in his temple.

As the moon loomed overhead, the glare on the edge of the blade shone brightly as Hannah lifted the blood encrusted tomahawk and drove it into the head of another beast that had taken her captive. One stroke was all it took, one solid hammer to the temple.

Taking a tuft of hair near the front of the forehead, she took the blade and carved in to the skin a mark that soon shone red. Then with one foul swoop, she obtained the hand-carved savage scalp of every last one of them. Nine kills to her name and  cleared anger; Hannah escaped into the night with nine bloody strips of flesh to show her courage.
