I contemplated photoshopping her out of this banner, for her visage makes me want to gorge my eyeballs out with red hot pokers, and replace her with someone more drool worthy, like Ren, but I figured it would look wrong and slight homo-erotic if Shin had his spaghetti arms draped around a member of the same gender.
I think Hachi is nothing more than a Grade A porn star with clothes on. I swear, she's slutty enough to be over run with grandkinds great enough in volume to start her own third world nation.
Can you imagine? A nation of Hachis? They would have screwed their way half way through the phone book by now.
So ignoring the fact that she'll spread eagel for anything that has a pulse, I chose to house a simmering hatred for her right after she screwed over (quite literally) my precious Nobu for that sociopath Takumi. I don't think the American import volumes have gotten that far yet, and I know Shojo Beat stopped serializing the manga due to its newfound macarbe air, but I read some scan-lations (translated Japanese scans) of the issues out in Japan only on the interwebz. It was enlightening, and there are very few people who share my hatred for Hachi at this point because they are unaware of just how slutty she gets in the later editions.
They probably give her discounts on her abortions.
Like frequent flyer miles or something.
Lord knows she opens her fly enough to get them.
At any rate, I don't know how much of the story you know, and if you want the remainder to be given away at that, but since you said you're not reading it anymore, I guess it's okay to inform you that Hachi indeed gets pregnent...and can't tell if it's Nobu's baby or Takumi's...and I don't remember much after that because I think I fell into a rather vicious connipition fit and dislodged my brain on the side of the coffee table.
To her credit, so far, she has kept the baby.
But it's Hachi. And we all know she's about as sound in her resolutions as an alcoholic is giving up the bottle.
I don't expect this baby to make it to term.
Besides, how do you blow off NOBU of all people? Precious, precious NOBU? He's like a fallen little angel. Without wings and multiple ear piercings. And an odd penchant for torn belly shirts. Still. How do you LEAVE someone like that?
...for Takumi, no less.
I need to stop ranting, for if I don't, I fear I will asphyxiate and face plant the keyboard with speeds rivaling that of the Indy 500.
