It's been a while
2006 (meaning the entire month of January) has been CRAZY busy. We've made a couple trips to Katy, my parents came to visit in Austin (and brought us a washer and dryer!!) We've been working crazy hard on pulling off our wedding (which is 30 days away!!!) and made a lot of time for God.
One of our new year's resolutions was to make church a part of our lives. We've been attending Gateway Community Church here in Austin (and Grace Fellowship - the church we're getting married in - back home) It's amazing how in a month there's already been so much of a change in us. Every sermon has been something we've needed to hear and God is doing wonderful things in our hearts. We start our small group tonight! It's a very exciting time for us, and we're very hopeful. I'll try to update again later (when I'm not at the office) with some of the scripture.
As far as wedding stuff goes, we're totally pumped! My parents continually surprise me with how excited they are about it and have been total allstars with footing the bill. I'm really proud of myself and grateful for all the help I've received and had offered and pledged because this wedding is totally out of my dreams, and totally shocking on the budget (because we've made it so affordable!) I'm really excited about seeing the final thing all pulled together, and I'm even more excited about finally becoming Mrs. Denver Leonard for real, instead of the quasi-common law thing we've got goin' on now.
There's a few struggles that we're burdened with, but by and large, everything is amazing right now. 2006... maybe it's finally my year!
