Leave it to my brother to find something funny. He has decided that all the plywood in their neighborhood that doesn't get messed up in the storm, he's going to collect and make Christmas decorations. "It's gonna be awesome. I'm gonna have cut outs all over my house! Santa, some elves, Disney characters, ninjas throwing Christmas stars... it'll be so awesome!!" When his daughter gets older and they get to do Santa Claus stuff, he's gonna go bananas. I can't wait. Probably next Christmas, when she's 2 it'll be about time. Anyway.
Back to the hurricane.
My parents have a generator, and since the storm has shifted more east, and they live on the west side, they should be fine. My uncle attempted to go to Duncanville last night to my aunt's house. He made it maybe 10 miles in 6 hours and changed his mind. So he's getting all his extra oxygen tanks and moving in with my parents. My brother and his wife are planning on bringing the baby up here and staying with us. Denver is excited because he LOVES putting on his Uncle Denver hat. And we haven't gotten to see Natalie walk yet. She was just starting to take a step here and there last time I saw her. It's been even longer for Denver. *excited*
So, let's make the cocktails happen tomorrow. I'll get some tequila. I hate tequila, but the situation calls for some 'Ritas.
