(no subject)

Monday: First class at 9, which is entirely too early. Rich spilled coffee on himself and his freshly laundered sweatshirt. I was quite amused. Professor was funny but the emphasis on archeology annoys me. Upon discussing this with Lia I realized it's because in my mind archaeologists do historians' bitch work and I really have no interest in that. Then we discussed how she does the bitch work for her field of study. I was quite amused. Second class was taught by a professor new to the school, so I ended up explaining to him and some the students how to use blackboard and the school website. Then there was a short discussion about how the Bush administration contradicts many, if not most, currently popular theories among political scientists. Cate called after school, but we didn't to talk for as long as i would have liked because my grandma called and I ended up going over and helping her with ridiculously rudimentary computer stuff.

Tuesday: Class at 10. Nothing useful happened and class was dismissed a full hour early. I feel torn between annoyance at having my time wasted by a class unlikely to teach me anything, especially since it's a subject I'm interested in, and being glad to have an absurdly easy class. Watched House. I can't remember what the patient had, but it was some kind of calcified hairball tumor thing. I want very badly for Wilson to come back.

Wednesday: Morning lecture was concerned solely with methods of archeology. I half listened, half thought about ways House could win Wilson back. After school Rich and I went to park in NW to study. There was a young child, probably around 4, yelling the Jesus loves me this I know song in a creepy satanic voice. A discussion arose regarding Native American facial hair and why there isn't any. Called/texted several people. Ended up talking to Laurel about it for a while. No conclusions, but the chat was nice. Also talked to Laura about it and got nowhere. We did discover that Native Americans have no gene for baldness.

Thursday: Getting up early all week started to catch up with me. Barely made it to class on time. Proceeded to be rather a know it all, answering all the professors questions and by the end of class not bothering to raise my hand before speaking. Went home, showered, did some reading, and milled about before going to Brandon and Jenna's to watch the VP debate and play a new of theirs called Wits and Wagers. The questions all have number answers, and you bet on who was closest without going over. I was good at the answering, not so much the betting.

Friday: So tired I have no idea what was discussed in my morning lecture. I know Jericho was talked about. In addition to being tired, it was also markedly colder than the rest of the week, and I had menstrual cramps that I thought might have been the calcified hairball tumor thing that the patient had on House. Afternoon class was a huge, over-extended metaphor about politics being like sex. After school I started working on the paper I'm currently putting off editing, made a trip to Safeway and Allen Market, and spent several hours playing computers games (Spore and Luxor) before going to Katie's. Enjoyed the party. I think the game would be more fun with fewer people and more drinking. Was especially pleased to see Erica. Left Katie's around midnight, went on a fast food run, and then stopped by the Cheerful on the way home. Ended up staying until they closed and leaving the shampoo I had bought earlier at Safeway. Fortunately Ali texted me the next day to tell me she had it.

Saturday: Shockingly, I flaked out on attending the football game I had said I would go to. Spent the morning reading, dealing with interpersonal dramas, and playing Luxor. Visited Sam at her new bartending job at Gaffer's around 4, hung out for about an hour, then went home to finish a paper. Kristen came over around 10 and we chatted and watched Coming to America.

Sunday: Slept in later than I meant to or should have. Got up around 1, spent the day reading and dicking around on the onlines.
