I finally got a haircut. That's just about the one useful thing I've done during this break. The rest of the time has been split between "Guitar Hero III" and "Super Mario Galaxy," the highlights of this year's Hanukkah.
That's not entirely true, I guess. Yesterday I went to my old high school. It's kind of weird going back there. During my first and second years at Chicago, I still knew some of the students, but by this point, I only return to see all my old teachers. I met the new Chinese teacher, too; I think my school was really lucky to get her. She seems to know what she's doing, and she is very nice. I spoke to her in Chinese for a little while. Tomorrow morning (at eight-thirty, no less) I am going to go sit in on the Chinese class for a little while.
I suppose I have not yet really expressed how pleased I am that my old school managed to start a Chinese program. I am seriously thrilled about it. The fact that it seems to be so successful (granted, it is only in its fourth month now) only brings me greater joy.
That's about it in terms of vacation-time updates. Apparently I'll be playing video games for a while, and maybe also considering applying for jobs in case the whole graduate-school thing doesn't work out. We'll see.
