The munch was alright. Cic seemed to be on his best behavior (I wasn't anywhere near him so I don't know for sure.) and, since I wanted to pay more attention to the conversation on my right than my left, I spent most of the time with my back toward Steve and his comments of fail. I also debuted some of the new voices I got for Sylvia (That will always be her name, even if she isn't using her voice.) and they were loved by all. I think both Sparky and Sylvia are getting more notice than I am (Not a complaint, just an observation.). I'm still waiting for three more voices (These will be the last I'm going to pay for, I swear.) but fucking Paypal is taking fucking forever to let the E-check clear.
C was missed. When the reason of her absence was pondered, J busted out with, "Maybe Theo found her."
On Friday, I have a follow-up interview/training for an interview I went to on Monday. It's for 5th Dimension Promotionz (Yes, with a Z.). I'm kinda nervous about it since it seems somewhat akin to sales. The first interview made it seem more like demoing (live infomercials). I was surprised I got called back. For the first interview I showed up five minutes late and was bit uncomfortable in the waiting room where the girl handling calls was dressed more for a summer day out at Great America than an office. She also had iTunes blasting Oldies. It just didn't seem very professional. After waiting there thirty minutes (The girl working the desk had to go back and see what was going on, since everyone else was in, out and on their way in fifteen minutes.) I finally got called into the back. I really played it mellow and, while I was walking out, I really felt that I had fucked it up big time. The good news is that, unlike being fresh out of college, I'm not so desperate for a job that I'll take anything. If I don't feel comfortable in this job, I can always quit, but I will give it a try. The good news is that it's closer than my current job; in Santa Clara off of San Tomas. I decided not to try for the job in San Francisco. Yes, it is Economics. Yes, they will train me. Yes, it pays over 3k a month. But it's in San Francisco, which is still a hard limit. Plus, the commute would totally make me resent the job. I'm used to working somewhat close by and have grown to like it. Plus, if my car ever breaks down, I can still rely on public transportation thanks to the 22 route running 24 hours *and* being within walking distance of both work and my house.
Since I'll be training all day Friday, going to Wall-E will have to wait until Monday morning... unless someone would care to join me *next* Friday morning?
