Work was good. I only had one hour and one student that really likes the material and asks relevant questions. After I got through that it was off to the munch where I got to have some quiet time with T (or B?) and S. I don't get enough time alone with these people. As people started to show up, the discussion really picked up. We announced the venue change to take place next month (Yay!) and got in some good conversation. Toward the end, everyone's favorite newbie (Yet another T) showed up and seemed to have a pretty good time for how mellow the munch was. And to boot, he gave me a semi job offer doing logistics with computers. I will definitely attempt to learn more about it. Menlo Park was mentioned, which is farther North than my current job, but I don't mind so much when terms like "full-time" and "benefits" are thrown in. Plus, according to Mapquest, the commute doesn't seem that bad.
The munch broke early and I headed home. I still am in need of a sound beating, but July doesn't seem that far off. Waiting for me in the mail box were three of my latest Netflix rentals: Kids (A documentary about teens and their misconceptions of sex.), Red Dwarf: Series V (This supposedly has the episode "Quarantine" which contains the "Life without pain" quote I am still jizzing over.) and The Secret Lives of Adult Stars. Also in the mail box was my paycheck for substituting this past month. The pay went down a bit this year, but it's still over $100 a day (Yay money!). And the final item in the mail was a package that I ordered last week. Inside was an OS X version of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. I got addicted to it playing it at Game Crazy on the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, games like this monumentally suck on the console systems. You need a mouse and a keyboard, not a bunch of drop down and sub menus. With this last item in hand, I'd like to bid farewell to the world for a while. If no one sees me on Wednesday, feel free to come over to my house and confiscate my computer for a week while I detox. Today really got me out of the funk caused by yesterday's Coffee Iced Tea Run of Fail.
