Cookies and more
Today was great. The cookie exchange at the munch was yummy and I got mass props for my Cookies of teh Awesome. And, of course, a certain someone was surprised that I baked oatmeal-raisin cookies after playing clueless and coy. Though I need to tweak the recipe and include cinnamon. When people first saw the boxes, they assumed that I copped out and stopped at a bakery. I immediately voiced my offense and assured everyone that I had spent most of the morning throwing stuff together and baking it in the oven. I actually ran out of time this morning and had to freeze a fresh batch. No worries though, it will keep and bake up nice and yummy.
Another certain someone couldn't keep from coming up with the double entendres and random ass WTF quotes. I think this munch is like kryptonite to her.
Almost ended up playing at the dungeon tonight, but a last minute cancellation nixed that. I wasn't even bothered for a second. I've really come to embrace something Zathras said on Babylon 5: "There is infinite time; you are finite; Zathras is finite; *this*... is wrong tool." I've come to realize that life isn't as short as I thought it was and whatever happens, happens.
