We need more movie nights
The munch was slow to start, but quickly built into organized chaos. Thankfully there were a few newbies there that kept us in check (If we scare everyone away, there'd be no one left.). I realize that we do need to find a new place, but we need to give it time for people to settle. We're not the Monterey munch.
Getting to the theater was a breeze (for me anyway). I kept on having this image of the SX crowd caravaning over. We'd be the most fucked up wagon train or convoy ever. Due to it being a small theater, tickets didn't sell out, but most of us got ours ahead of time. Hopefully when everyone saw the loud, rambunctious group at the front of the line, it gave them a taste of things to come.
The movie, "The Dark Knight" completely made awesome it's bitch (Yeah, I don't know where that came from either.) and proceeded to rape every last orifice in awesome until it was raw and bleeding (Again, no clue.). It just kept going. Toward the end, I kept looking at my watch neither knowing where the movie was going nor how long it was going to take to get there. When it finally did end, I had so much adrenalin running through my system I was shaking; it kept me on edge *that* long. I quickly slammed back down to Earth and joined the rest of the group outside where we chatted it up for a good bit. Too bad I have to work in the morning; my students are going to wonder why I start randomly giggling every now and then. This is the kind of shit I miss from college (Though it was nowhere near as fucked up as SX could make it.); We definitely have to do more outings.
