Draco rushed into the restaurant, eager to escape the coming storm. He took a window booth, telling the waitress he just wanted a tea, and looked up and down the emptying street. He was also eager for another reason, but he tried to squash that feeling down. It hadn't happened before; why would it happen now?

Five times the door opened, the floating candles went out, and the irritated waitress muttered the spell to relight them, but there was still no Harry. Now that Draco thought about it, Harry really had no incentive to keep coming back, unless he really enjoyed the shagging.

Truly, though, it was Harry who started everything, save the shagging. It was Harry who found him wondering the street, trying to escape a livid Dark Lord. Harry who found him places to stay for safety. Harry who kept coming back. Harry who was trying to talk the Order into giving him ultimate protection. Draco didn't do much but hate wherever Harry found for him to stay and shag.

Draco looked out the window. The storm had died down. In fact, there was no more wind. Everything was eerily quiet, inside and outside the restaurant. With a loud creak the door opened and Harry walked in. Draco continued to stare out the window, unable to look at him, to see the result.

Harry's hands closed over Draco's and he brought them closer, tracing circles over Draco's skin. Draco squeezed his eyes shut. Harry always did that when there was bad news.

"I'm sorry," Harry whispered. A flash of lightning lit up the restaurant. The rain suddenly came down in torrents only to be slammed into the nearest building by the vicious wind. Harry had to speak louder to be heard. "They think you're blackmailing me. I would take you in anyway but I'm...afraid what they'll do when they find out."

Draco scoffed, taking his gaze away from the storm to a weary Harry. "And I thought your side was the good side."

Harry stared. "So did I."

A beat and Harry said, "But I found a better place for you to stay. And it's closer to where I am."

Draco nodded. It was always the same. He looked back out the window. The storm wasn't relenting. It seemed determined to relinquish its worst upon the little town for as long as possible.

"We'll just have to wait it out," Harry spoke, squeezing Draco's hands. He too was looking out the window. Draco wasn't sure if he was talking about the storm or the war, but did it really matter? The storm had to end sometime and after that a timid rainbow would chase away the dark clouds. That would have to happen to the war, too. Sometime.
