While finally getting around to cleaning out my desk I found these. And many plot bunnies. Urg. I need to stop getting ideas.
Lost Love -- G -- Angst -- Harry/Draco
He was cold. He was emotionless. No, that wasn't right. He was a threshold of emotions. Lust, passion, hate, disgust. But not love, only a slight inkling of fondness.
Harry wanted more, something Draco was either unwilling or unable to do.
When Harry left there were no tears on the blond's face, which was a shame because that was the one thing he was longing for, the one thing that would have brought him back.
Draco only allowed himself to love once the door shut between them, the only way he couldn't hurt.
But hurt they both did.
Friends and Family -- G -- Angst -- Harry/Draco
Eyes observed them critically. Voices scorned them blatantly. Ears tuned out when they spoke.
Friends told him he was insane. Family disowned him. Press never tired of him. Friends said it was a phase he would soon grow out of. They said it had to be a phase because otherwise they too were leaving.
Harry stayed steadily quiet through the whole affair, eyeing Draco carefully. Harry's friends accepted them. Harry's friends loved him. He didn't have a family to disown him. Draco, on the other hand, lost everything.
"I want my friends and family back," Draco whispered into Harry's neck in the dark of the night. The only place they were safe to be together. The only time no one was there to scorn them.
Harry nodded. He understood. The next morning, Draco woke up alone. His friends were ecstatic. Family slowly let him back in. But he wasn't happy. That didn't matter though. Harry wouldn't take him back, said he would regret being with him, again.
Draco returned to his friends and family. Blood may be thicker than water but love overcomes all. The rentboys were never enough. Nor was the alcohol. He didn't go back to Harry, though. He couldn't. Harry was stubborn; he would repeat the same spew. No, he would continue with his friends and family. The same people who wouldn't accept him because of his romance interest.
Interview -- PG -- Humor? -- Harry/Draco
"Don't tear it," Hermione repeated as she handed Harry her father's pressed suit. Harry had a very important interview in a high quality muggle office. He needed to look very sharp. "Keep it safe."
Harry nodded. Not a problem.
~~~
"You clean up well, Potter," Malfoy said, his eyes traveling up and down. He pointed to a door and Harry hesitantly followed. The interview was lousy since Harry answered every question with a question of his own. Why was Malfoy in a muggle office?
Suddenly, Malfoy yanked him forward with the suit jacket. "What are you doing?" Harry shrieked. Draco hovered at his ear, whispering, "The only way you could get this job is if you can be some sort of benefit."
The Malfoy's tongue flicked in Harry's ear. He would have to make it up to Hermione because the suit was torn off hurryingly. He was definitely going to get the job. And maybe a promotion.
