Merry Christmas!
"Merry Christmas!" This greeting brings so much joy to my heart. "Congratulations!" and "Good job!" are expressions of goodwill that can inspire people to do better but "Merry Christmas!" is absolutely on a league of its own.
It reminds us of what it says in Isaiah 9:6-7: "For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of His ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven's Armies will make this happen!"
Hope is a good thing only if it is founded on the unchanging name of the Lord Jesus Christ who was given to mankind to accomplish the greatest rescue mission ever.
This truth should be firmly established in our hearts and minds for us to truly have a Merry Christmas!
