I haven't been on for a whole week because my body and brain have been such blah. Brain dead at work and feeling barely conscious at home. so just some quick blurbs:
1. IT'S SNOWING! I feel so happy right now. None is sticking to the ground-and likely won't, with forecasts of rain- but it's those big fat flakes that just look so wonderful.
2. I went to Boston Pizza last night, and man, going on a big gift card and just taking your time and enjoying the restaurant was great. and our waitress was PERFECT. She was so nice, friendly, and had the perfect timing for checking up on us and was always returning promptly for answering questions and everything. I know it was pretty dead last night(Half full maybe on a Friday night, wth?? Never seen a restaurant like that), but it was just a perfect evening. and their potato skins are delicious. Plus having a gift card meant not worrying about the money as much(we went over what I had planned, but easily doable because of the gift card) and I was able to give her a good tip as a result :)
3. Making chocolate fudge and hopefully lemon bars or pie this weekend.
4. The Hobbit is coming out. The Hobbit is coming out. SO. EXCITED. Seeing it Thursday night at 10pm. I am hoping the "3D High Frame Rate" is good, because I fucking despise 3D movies. I know I could wait until Friday night to watch it in normal Theatres, but I like Imax and I'm transferring my LOTR rule over to The Hobbit movies(midnight showings or equivalent), and I have seen advocates talk about HOW HFR-3D TOTALLY RESOLVES 3D ISSUES. I doubt it, but I am willing to give this it's last chance to show me 3D is not a piece of shit. I guess to be fair, I think I am one of those people who get "see" 3D properly, which is why it looks so bad to me. But I am willing to try(especially when one of our movie tickets was free.) Still excited!
5. The soundtrack is gorgeous and even if the movie ends up being the worst movie of all time, I am all over the soundtrack already I love it(Howard Shore, you rock.)
