Leaving on a jet plane

Oct 17, 2009 09:29

Just got back from the airport, having delivered sagitare for her flight home. She was in the region for a week, spent the first day with me and then we went up home for Thanksgiving and she stayed with her folks for the rest of the week. The plan was for her to come back to Halifax yesterday afternoon and we'd have more Turkish food and get dessert at this nice restaurant in Bedford and watch Flashpoint.

So of course her train was delayed FOR FIVE HOURS and got in just as Flashpoint would have been ending, so I'll watch the last twenty minutes online.

The thing that bugged me was we had so little time to hang out anyway, and then lost most of it. Dammit!

But the pie place did takeout, and we got the Turkish to go, and I have the Flashpoint DVD set. I think she liked it, I know she'd have watched an ep or two to be polite but hopefully not four.

We finally bowed to the inevitable about one-thirty and went to bed. Her flight this morning was delayed--hope it finally left!-- but she should be home by this afternoon.

Not nearly a long enough visit, but it was great to see her again.
