I've been out every night this week, between uke gang and a late reference shift (and another tonight.) Last night I went to a sales party for a fair-trade company called
Jolica, at a friend's house. I did a certain amount of Christmas shopping and also ordered a brown leather messenger bag which is something I have been idly looking for for quite some time (I wanted one, but hadn't seen quite the right one yet.)
I got home just as Criminal Minds was starting. I don't normally watch that show because, as I have mentioned more than once, the fictional depiction of serial killers bores and annoys me. Since discovering Randolph Mantooth was in an episode last year I have been known to check reruns to try and determine whether it's his episode, but that's about it.
This time I turned the show on just as the guest stars were being listed, and one of them was DB Sweeney, who I have loved for quite some time. I figured he would be the killer, since he seems to always be the killer these days (I preferred it when he was the adorable juvenile lead but hey, time marches on.) He wasn't. In fact, I watched the entire stupid episode ("stupid" is more an expression of frustration than a value judgement on the episode) and didn't catch a glimpse of him--I assume he was onscreen for a second when I was tuning my guitar or fetching a snack. I understand he's guesting on several episodes this season but if he's getting that little face time it probably isn't worth my while to sit through them.
Which means I need to watch The Cutting Edge again. (Speaking of which--
that's pretty much the premise of CBC's new reality show. Now that, I really should watch.)
