Not to talk about food ALL the time, but...

The baking is all very well, but I've been watching Masterchef this season and yeah, I can't even imagine making up some of the dishes those folks do. I've learned that I am highly suggestible, too-- the time the contestants had to make spring rolls, I craved them for days. And don't even talk to me about the stuffed pasta the following week!

It's down to the top five now and I like almost all of the remaining contestants: the two women, Courtney and Elizabeth, are very talented and likable. (Courtney seems to aspire to be a supervillain, which I frankly think is hilarious.) Of the three men, Christian seems cool. Leslie is a pain in the ass but funny, and his flaws seem to stem from being high-strung and defensive, which are shall we say flaws I can relate to, so I kind of like him. Cutter the Texan seemed okay until this past Monday when he went off in an ugly sexist rant about Leslie being a "house-husband" (which for all his faults Leslie seems totally cool with) so now Cutter can kiss my arse and go home next.

However, four out of five would be fine with me as winner, which is nice.

Also, whether it's home renos, design, or cooking, I do enjoy shows in which people create things!

food, television
