Oh, no, Sam and Jules. That had to happen.

Also, Spikely superpowers again.

And escape via bicycle. Awesome.

The upside of failing to build your new bed and sleeping on the sofa and being woken by insomniac neighbour at 5am is that watching Flashpoint for breakfast is perfectly practical.

I'm confused though, that was the end-or-change-team ultimatum, yes? In not so many words?

Spike. ALL THE SPIKE. Also the Wordy of awesome (I quite like that they're finally giving us the cross-practice collaboration in person now, also the negotiation of who takes the fall for what was lovely). And they're slotting Raf in to pick up the what-the-kids-on-the-street-these-days-do slack, yes? Although I'm not that convinced the Raf's of this world are all that down with the kids on the street, bar a very specific subset of like minded music nerds.

I think that was, indeed, break-up-or-change-teams, and it will be very interesting to see what they actually do about it. I don't think Greg could handle it, if they lied to him again.

It was great to see Wordy again, and yeah, that negotiation between him and Ed was nice. Did Wordy used to wear a wedding ring? Because he wasn't, but he *said* everything is all good...

Also, I really liked Spike noticing the skateboards and Raf kind of getting it just as Spike said it. And Raf's "are you kidding me?" when the kid on the bike took off like a bat. Hee!

That was certainly one hell of a guilt trip toward Jules, though. I don't know that she'll ever be able to look at her award without feeling at least a little bad. "What else did I expect from the law enforcement professional of the year." yikes.

I also enjoyed the wordy/ed negotiation, as well as the "your'e not a biter, are you?" hee.

I know this is only my second comment and it's another marathon... ext_881656 November 23 2011, 02:33:06 UTC
...But I just stumbled upon your fanfic page and gobbled up your work on Flashpoint in one sitting. In all honesty, I usually avoid fanfic on shows or books I truly love because fanfic is all too often sappy or slashy (or both), but yours was (as I expected) polished, fantastic storytelling which only augmented cannon with its genuinely touching take on the characters. Truly an early holiday gift for me! Anyway, I was hoping to word this in a way that would be inspirational and NOT nagging... So I'll settle for this: "KEEP WRITING!" (Recaps or fanfic; I'm not picky.) Happy Thanksgiving from Buffalo, NY.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your kind words! I'm kind of... eaten up with another thing I'm working on right now that doesn't seem to leave me much brain space for recaps and such, but I'm still watching Flashpoint, and I expect to get back to recapping it one of these days. In the meantime, I hope you're enjoying the new episodes!
