*sigh*

For me, the playoffs are over. I actually tuned in last night for a second at the exact moment PK Subban scored the goal to send it to overtime, but I didn't have the nerve to watch. (Also, I really needed to get to bed.)

My hope for now is that Vancouver has gotten whatever that was out of its system and is ready to get down to business. Maybe they should bring back the Halloween jerseys, for luck?

Yeah, bad idea.

Also, I just got a message from OldNavy.ca that the blue shirt I ordered and did not get is out of stock in my size. Well, of course it is. I'm currently hopeful that when they change over to the next season, it (or a reasonable approximation) will be available at the store again.

Let's see... riding lessons start again on Sunday. Between rain and various other matters, I actually haven't ridden since those times a couple of weekends ago. Coach K said she'd come ready to ride in case of spring sillies. Yeah, that's not going to be our problem. The problem is pretty much never Mitzi.

Still, the start of lessons always has a way of focusing my mind!

Speaking of lessons, I haven't heard from Guitar Teacher in so long that I'm thinking he's stopped teaching, or cut back considerably to just his core students. I do know he's had a lot of stuff going on in the last few months. I'm considering asking about lessons at Long & McQuade. I've been practicing away on my own but lessons would still help--left to my own devices I'm not very systematic, which I guess makes some sense considering my level of beginnerness.

Travis-picking (at least the one pattern I've decided to concentrate on) is coming along, though, and I'm getting a little better at basic barre chords like B-minor.

CTV is apparently beginning coverage of the Royal Wedding at three AM. Which is not surprising enough to need italics, really, but still. The regional health library association is meeting tomorrow, in Truro, so we'll see if we're missing anyone in the morning session! (I am... mostly kidding.)

Am persevering on the vampire novel I spoke of yesterday, and enjoying it about as much as I would have expected to. More on that later, probably.

guitar stuff, sports, silliness
